For those who don't know the area, this camping resort is at the foot of Cove Mountain, in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

The Smokies are breathtaking, and traveling from my home in North Carolina to anywhere in Tennessee is always a treat for me because you have to pass through them!

From your tip, I looked at the Cove Creek Resort website and it looks fantastic. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful mountain views, a swimming pool, and a nice club house and game room.

Looks like RVers can also buy a permanent site there, too.

This area of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg is a very popular mountain getaway, with loads of things to do nearby.

Things like river rafting, the famous Dollywood amusement park, hiking, mountain biking, and much more!

Gatlinburg, also nearby, is another popular mountain destination.

In recent years, mountain area zip lines have become popular. Although I haven't tried it yet, my daughter and son-in-law did it and they loved it!

Depending on where your journey begins, there should be great places on the way to this area, too.

The Knoxville Zoo, music history in Memphis, the Grand Ole Opry and country music in Nashville, the Lost Sea in southern Tennessee, and much more. All you have to do is dig a little to plan a great traveling vacation through this state.
